CAN I LIVE IN MY CARAVAN?
It is not possible to live in caravans due to site license restrictions. We will require proof of permanent address for longer bookings.
DO YOU STORE CARAVANS?
Unfortunately we do not have the facility to store caravans. Please look at www.ukcampsite.co.uk for storage listings in your area.
DO YOU SELL HOLIDAY CARAVANS?
We do not sell caravans or site customer's static caravans. We do however have our own fleet of caravans for hire.
WHAT BAIT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE FISHING LAKE?
We recommend luncheon meat or sweet corn. Both can be purchased from the site shop.
CAN ANYONE USE THE FISHING LAKE?
Our lake is open to campers only. A rod license can be purchased from the Post Office for anyone over 12 years of age. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult do not require a license.
WHATS WITH THE BAN ON ELECTRIC HEATING?
We have a restricted supply of power to the park which means that we have to be very careful to avoid power cuts. We have upgraded this supply at every stage of the parks development however until the final upgrade (planned for 2014) we must ask cus
WHAT ARE YOUR CHECK IN/ OUT TIMES?
Check in time is after 12 noon. Please allow half an hour in case the previous customer is running late.
Check out is before 12 noon.
WHAT IS THE LATEST I CAN CHECK IN?
9.30pm is the latest check in time. This is to avoid disturbing other guests.
WHY DO YOU NOT ALLOW COMMERCIAL VANS ON THE PARK?
Customers tell us that they do not like to be placed next to work vans and the various park inspection organisations penalise us for allowing them on to the park.
CAN WE CHARGE OUR PHONES, iPODS etc?
We will be happy to charge these for you free of charge. Only available during office hours.
WHERE CAN WE FREEZE OUR ICE BLOCKS?
Ice blocks can be placed in our freezer (located in reception) during office hours. There is a 20p per block charge for this service. A free service is also available in the main washing up area.
WHY DO YOU STATE YOU ARE FULLY BOOKED WHEN THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE?
Customers have told us that they love our big pitches so we limit the numbers of pitches we book out at any time.
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
We strongly recommend booking well in advance, especially during May- September +special events as we fill up very quickly.
ELECTRIC HOOK-UP FOR TENTS - WHAT WILL I NEED?
To keep you safe and legal you will need to bring with you a 'mobile mains power unit' which retail at around £50 - £80.
Please do not make up your own lead or use leads without adequate protection!
WHEN CAN WE BRING OUR DOG TO SWISS FARM?
Dogs are welcome during our quieter periods (see low season dates). The main summer months and busy times are dog free for the comfort of our customers and because of our farm animals.
YOU SAY 'NO GROUPS', WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We welcome family groups up to 5 pitches however we do not accept groups of adults and certainly no stag or hen parties! This is to maintain a family friendly atmosphere.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR TENTING FIELDS?
Field 1 is larger, more open and is nearer to the toilets and showers. Field 2 is slightly more secluded and contains the play area. It is closer to the main building and swimming pool.
DO YOU ALLOW BBQ's?
Yes we welcome BBQ's, as long as they are used carefully and kept off the ground to avoid damaging the grass. Please note we do not allow open fires.
ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS i.e. SHOWERS?
Our showers are free; however we do charge a small fee for the use of the swimming pool.
WHY IS THE SWIMMING POOL NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF CAMPING?
We took the decision 17 years ago when the pool opened to only charge people as they used the pool as we felt it was fairer than adding the fee to each booking. The day charge helps towards the heating and daily cleaning costs.
WHY CAN I NOT TAKE MY CARAVAN IN TO THE FIELDS?
Sorry our license does not allow touring caravans, motor homes and campervans other than on the main site.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOP ON SITE?
We have a small shop selling some essentials (milk , bread etc.) and basic camping equipment.
DOES THE BAR SERVE FOOD?
We do not currently serve food, however we do have a selection of take away menus for local companies that will deliver to the park.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE 2 NIGHTS STAY OVER WEEKENDS?
Weekends are our busiest time and we are often full, especially from May - September. The majority of our customers like to stay for 2 nights and they would not be able to do so if we filled pitches with one night bookings.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TO LONDON?
We recommend parking at Twyford train station (approx. 10 minute drive) and getting a direct train to Paddington (approx. 40 minutes). Alternatively you can walk to Henley station (approx. 20 minute walk). Trains go every 30 minutes.
HOW FAR ARE YOU FROM HENLEY TOWN CENTRE?
We are only 10 minutes from the town centre on foot.
